Flat Stone

Stand in bow stance. Imagine that there is a flat stone balanced in your right hand directly in front of your body. Now take your palm up holding your imagined stone from the front of your body and move it past your right shoulder toward your ear on the same side, and continue past the back of your head.  After the stretch behind the head, continue past the right shoulder, across your body toward your left hip. During the entire exercise your palm should face up. Do the exact same thing with the left hand.

This exercise brings balance and flexibility to the shoulders and the neck, as well as the strengthening of the thighs and hips. It is best performed with a real flat stone in the hand.
